So, why didn't Jennifer Hudson show up? According to TMZ, both Hudson's and the Jackson tribute show's rep confirmed Hudson's stated reason for backing out: the star said that did not have adequate time to prepare. Hudson's camp cited "production issues," saying the singer was provided with details about the Michael Jackson song she would be covering a bit too late to master the requested performance.
